Our Heritage-Three Decades in the Making

Our vintage collections began with my father’s vision in the early 1990s: to create cigars of unmatched quality, aged with time rather than urgency. Using premium Dominican-grown Cuban-seed tobaccos and storing every cigar in cedar boxes and bundles, he built a heritage meant to be unveiled only when it reached absolute maturity.

Today, after more than 30 years of natural aging, we proudly present the Caonabo and Domínguez Vintage Collections—crafted by his hands, preserved by his legacy, and released by my promise to honor his work.

Our Heritage-A Legacy Preserved for Over Three Decades

The foundation of our vintage collections was built long before the cigars were ever rolled. In the early 1990s, my father—an artisan devoted to true cigar craftsmanship—began working with exceptional Dominican-grown Cuban-seed tobaccos. Each leaf was aged three to five years before rolling, allowing the tobacco to mature naturally, develop complexity, and evolve into the refined balance he believed every cigar should offer.

Once rolled, he protected every batch with meticulous care:

Caonabo cigars were placed exclusively in 100% cedar boxes, sealed and preserved.
Domínguez cigars were stored in cedar boxes and bundles.

His intention from the beginning was not simply to create cigars but to create a legacy—something time itself would elevate.

Where My Journey Began

In the early to mid-nineties, I became deeply involved in our generational legacy of cigar mastery, balancing the demands of my own career while helping preserve what we considered our family treasure. It was during this time, as he witnessed my dedication, that the Domínguez Collection was born.

He created it as a personal gift for me—his way of passing the torch and welcoming me into the next chapter of our craft. I didn’t realize it then, but he was preparing me to carry the responsibility of safeguarding a rare heritage built on patience, precision, and respect.

A Promise Made, A Legacy Protected

When my father passed away in 2001, he left behind a void—but he also left a promise I committed to keep. He entrusted me with a substantial vintage reserve aged in sealed cedar boxes and bundles, instructing me to preserve it exactly as he intended and unveil it only when the moment was right.

For more than three decades, these cigars have remained sealed, untouched, and aging gracefully. Time has transformed them into something far beyond ordinary production—a genuinely vintage experience that cannot be duplicated or recreated.

Today, that promise becomes reality.

The Release of the Vintage Collection

The Caonabo and Domínguez Vintage Collections represent decades of patience, discipline, and uncompromising standards.

Caonabo was finished in the finest Connecticut, Maduro, and Cameroon wrappers.
Domínguez was finished exclusively in the finest Sumatra wrappers.
Caonabo remained stored entirely in cedar boxes.
Domínguez was preserved in cedar boxes and bundles.
Both collections have aged naturally for 30+ years, untouched.

Each cigar represents a moment frozen in time—crafted in the 1990s, preserved with intention, and released now for the first time.
